Aleksander Tammert (born 2 February 1973 in Tartu) is an Estonian discus thrower. Tammert competed at the 2004 Olympics and originally finishing fourth, but as gold medal winner Robert Fazekas was disqualified, Tammert received the bronze medal. A month later he placed third at the World Athletics Final. In 2005 Tammert placed fourth at both the World Championships and the World Athletics Final. Fellow Estonian Gerd Kanter won silver medals at both these events. In 2006 he placed third at both the European Championships and the World Athletics Final. Kanter again won silver medals at both these events. His personal best throw is 70.82m (232'3 1/2''), set on 15 April 2006 in Denton, Texas.
Aleksander Tammert (sündinud 2. veebruaril 1973 Tartus) on Eesti kettaheitja. Tammert võistles 2004. aasta suveolümpiamängudel, lõpetades algselt neljanda kohaga, kuid sai Róbert Fazekase diskvalifitseerimise järel pronksmedali.Kuu aega hiljem saavutas ta IAAF-i finaalvõistlustel kolmanda koha. 2005. aastal sai Tammert neljanda koha nii kergejõustiku maailmameistrivõistlustel kui ka IAAF-i finaalvõistlustel. Mõlemal võistlusel võitis hõbemedali samuti eestlane Gerd Kanter. 2006. aastal sai ta kolmanda koha nii Euroopa meistrivõistlustel kergejõustikushttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksander_Tammert - cite_note-2 kui ka IAAF-i finaalvõistlustel. Mõlal võistlusel tuli teisele kohale jälle Kanter. Ta isiklik rekord kettaheites on 15. aprillil 2006 Dentonis Texases heidetud 70,82 m (232 jalga 3,5 tolli).
